Syndrome prémenstruel : Le microdosing, un allié efficace!
En tant que femmes, nous savons toutes que l’arrivée de la semaine fatidique n’est pas toujours facile… Chaque mois, des millions de femmes dans le monde souffrent de symptômes liés au syndrome prémenstruel. Ces dernières ont souvent recours à de la médication pour fonctionner normalement. De plus, elles peuvent souffrir d’une forme plus sévère de SPM nommé le trouble dysphorique prémenstruel (TDP). Ce syndrome est beaucoup plus douloureux physiquement, psychologiquement et touche entre 30 et 40 % de femmes chaque année. Ces douleurs sont telles qu’elles représentent un taux d’absentéisme scolaire et professionnel important chaque année. Les autres symptômes sont variés, allant de maux de tête à l’anxiété, en passant par la dépression, les nausées et les douleurs dorsales.
De nombreuses femmes prennent des antidépresseurs ou des pilules contraceptives pour soulager ces douleurs, mais ces médicaments ont également plusieurs effets indésirables. L’un des principaux avantages du microdosage est qu’il agit également sur les niveaux de sérotonine, ce qui augmente considérablement votre bien-être général et votre énergie. Il agit également comme un antidépresseur naturel et vous aide à passer une bonne nuit de sommeil.
Malheureusement, aujourd’hui encore, lorsque les femmes vont voir leur médecin pour lui parler de la façon dont leurs symptômes affectent leur vie quotidienne, ils sont souvent considérés comme des exagérations. De plus, même la forme la plus intense, le trouble dysphorique prémenstruel, est écartée d’emblée. À l’heure actuelle, certains médicaments sont prescrits, comme la pilule contraceptive ou l’ibuprofène, pour atténuer les symptômes, mais il y a des points à prendre en compte.
Les pilules contraceptives atténuent les symptômes, et parfois même empêchent les règles, mais les effets secondaires sont conséquents : des changements d’humeur majeurs aux changements de personnalité en passant par le risque de caillots sanguins. Si bien que de nombreux médecins ne suggèrent même pas cette méthode pour atténuer les effets. Par conséquent, les femmes n’ont souvent pas d’autre choix.
C’est pourquoi de plus en plus de femmes se tournent vers des méthodes alternatives et trouvent de l’aide dans les traitements psychédéliques. Ces solutions à faible dosage n’ont pas d’effet psychotrope, mais peuvent obtenir les avantages de la molécule de psilocybine. Il y a aussi le côté bénéfique du micro dosage, notamment un sentiment de bien-être généralisé et, contrairement aux pilules contraceptives, il n’y a aucun effet secondaire. La psilocybine interagit directement avec la sérotonine du cerveau. Donc, au lieu de forcer le cerveau à produire plus de sérotonine, la psilocybine donne l’impression qu’il y en a plus. Ainsi, contrairement aux médicaments qui augmentent le niveau réel de sérotonine, vous n’aurez pas les retraits ou les chutes de sérotonine correspondants.
Les principaux avantages du microdosage sont qu’il agit beaucoup plus rapidement et que ses effets durent plus longtemps que d’autres médications qui peuvent prendre quelques mois avant d’être efficaces. Les effets du microdosage peuvent être ressentis quelques temps après la consommation et la majorité des femmes ressentent les effets dès la première prise de psilocybine. Cela signifie que la psilocybine peut être prise selon les besoins plutôt qu’à long terme.
Les symptômes physiques courants du TDPM sont les crampes, les douleurs musculaires et les maux de tête. Bien que ces symptômes puissent être traités avec des analgésiques courants, leur intensité peut nécessiter de fortes doses d’analgésiques, ou ils peuvent être résistants au traitement. Dans ces cas, la psilocybine peut être une meilleure méthode de traitement. À faible dose, la psilocybine agit comme un vasoconstricteur, ce qui signifie qu’elle resserre vos vaisseaux sanguins et réduit le flux sanguin vers certaines zones de votre corps. Cela peut soulager les maux de tête et réduire l’inflammation qui peut provoquer des crampes ou des douleurs musculaires.
Plusieurs témoignages rapportent que la psilocybine en microdose a des effets anti-inflammatoires. Cette réduction du flux sanguin entraîne une réduction de l’inflammation, qui à son tour soulage les symptômes de crampes, de courbatures et de douleurs. En outre, l’augmentation de la pression sanguine qui en résulte (en raison de la constriction des vaisseaux sanguins) peut également soulager les symptômes de nausée, de vertige et d’évanouissement courants dans le trouble dysphorique prémenstruel, qui sont liés à l’hypotension artérielle.
On ne sait pas vraiment pourquoi certaines femmes souffrent du syndrome prémenstruel et du trouble dysphorique prémenstruel alors que d’autres n’en souffrent pas, et encore moins pourquoi les symptômes sont si forts chez certaines femmes alors que d’autres en remarquent à peine les effets. Chaque mois, des millions de femmes subissent des effets physiques et psychologiques débilitants qui interfèrent avec leur vie quotidienne, leur santé mentale, leurs relations et leur productivité. Ces problèmes ont un coût important pour les femmes et pour la société en général. Le microdosage offre une option de traitement viable, mais des recherches supplémentaires seront nécessaires pour expliquer et comprendre encore mieux ses avantages.
